Rapper and music producer Pharrell Williams tends to have mixed success with his fashion-forward choices.  This textured Lanvin suit is a bit much and the low-waisted trousers, uncovered waist (emphasized by the open jacket) and absence of socks don’t help. (Getty)

Samuel L. Jackson’s penchant for black-tie rule-breaking usually has disastrous results.  This Giorgio Armani outfit is much better than most of his choices but the lack of a contrasting white shirt makes for a monotonous effect especially in comparison to other tuxedoed guests as seen in the photo at the top of the page.   (Getty)

Tom Ford looks great, except for the excessively long trouser legs. Given that he’s one of the top fashion designers in the world, such a mistake is really hard to forgive. Unless it was some sort of bizarre stylistic choice….
